Lowcountry Heritage Breeds Festival

A new event on Hilton Head Island this year is the Lowcountry Heritage Breeds Festival. The Coastal Discovery Museum , in conjunction with the American Livestock Breed Conservancy is inviting breeders of heritage breed farm animals that were historically used in the Lowcountry. Animals represented include Marsh Tacky Horses, the Mammoth Jackstock Mule, Guinea Hogs, Pineywoods cattle, Leghorn chickens, and more!!
There is no charge to attend this event, but donations are welcomed. It is being held at Honey Horn Plantation, on the North end of the Island.
