Tennis
There are more than 360 hard, clay or grass courts on the island, featuring three national racquet clubs. Hilton Head Island hosts a number of tennis tournaments and attracts both professionals and amateurs to the courts year round. Four Island tennis resorts have been listed in Tennis Magazine’s Top 50 U.S. Clubs.

Golf
Hilton Head is often referred to as “the golf island.” The area offers more than 40 golf courses, including the famous Harbour Town Golf Links, home of the PGA Tour’s popular Verizon Heritage Tournament.

Dining
Sample the fare at more than 250 restaurants, featuring a wide variety of food, from beach delis to five-star cuisine. The Hilton Head area is well known for its fabulous local shrimp, oysters and soft-shell crabs. You can bicycle on the sand or along the more than 50 miles of bike trails throughout the island. Biking is one of Hilton Head’s most popular activities, allowing families to explore parts of the island that cannot be reached by car, such as our beautiful nature preserves and marshes.

Every visitor to Hilton Head will spend some time on the water. Besides the beach, there are numerous marinas, creeks, and sounds – each offering a variety of water activities.
