This traditional residential area is divided by Coligny Circle into North and South Forest Beach. The Coligny Plaza, Beach Market and Pope Avenue area is the closest thing Hilton Head has to a downtown and is the liveliest area of the island. Unlike many island communities Forest Beach is not gated and attracts people from throughout the area.
There are more than 100 interesting boutique shops and dining options, numerous bars and nightclubs and plenty of public parking. You'll also find a waterpark, miniature golf, a movie theater and free family entertainment options, including a duck pond that's very popular with the pre-school crowd.
Enjoy beach volleyball, kite flying, people watching. strolling or just plain relaxing on this 3 mile stretch of what is, perhaps, the most beautiful beach on Hilton Head Island.
