Amid the recent development of Coronavirus (COVID-19), we understand you may be concerned about your upcoming travel plans. Here at Beach Properties of Hilton Head the health and safety of our guests, homeowners, and employees is our number one priority and we have been monitoring this situation very closely.
While we are implementing extensive sanitation practices and taking precautions to keep visitors and staff safe, we’re continuing to operate business as usual. We ask that our guests please contribute to the welfare of the community by following social distancing procedures, however we are here to help in the event an issue or emergency arises. As of Friday, March 27th we have stopped taking in any new reservations for arrivals through May 1st. We continue to take reservations for arrivals after May 1st.
Due to very high call volume, we do request if your scheduled arrival date is not in April that you please wait to contact us by phone until next week in order to allow our team members to first help those with closer dates. BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICIES – YOUR TRAVEL FLEXIBILITY
We have a relaxed cancellation policy for all arrivals scheduled on or before May 15th, 2020.
•Exisiting arrivals from now until May 15th can cancel and reschedule their stay into 2021, using credit of monies paid for a future stay.
While we are still open for business and our vacation rentals may be a great way to escape rather than staying home, we recognize that some of our guests may need increased flexibility during this time. TRAVEL INSURANCE INFORMATION
Please review the terms of your policy carefully if you purchased travel insurance. If you need to make a claim or have questions about how your existing policy will cover you, please reach out to Red Sky Travel Insurance at 866-889-7409. Make sure you know your policy number before the call.
There has been a lot of communication regarding our beaches. On March 20th, our mayor announced all PUBLIC beach access points would be closed for a period of at least 60 days. After further communication by Beach Properties with the Town of Hilton Head and the local Chamber of Commerce, it was determined a strong majority of our properties have private beach access points, meaning the town’s decision will have minimal impact on your stay. Guests are being advised by local officials, if you do wish to enjoy our beautiful beaches, to adhere to a few basic guidelines: do not congregate in groups of 3 or more and maintain proper distance with others enjoying the beach.
Restaurants and Bars
Like much of the country, the dine-in option at all our local restaurants has been temporarily closed. As of April 1, all non-essential businesses will be temporarily closed. “Non-essential” businesses, venues, facilities, services, and activities will be closed to non-employees and will not be open for access or use by the public or shall not take place. This includes businesses such as night clubs, fitness centers, spas, salons, public playground equipment and more. Click HERE for a full list of non-essential businesses.
