Our Top 2 Favorite Hilton Head Lighthouses

Harbour Town Lighthouse

One of the most iconic lighthouses on the island, the Harbour Town Lighthouse is a favorite. If you’re looking to take a tour of Hilton Head lighthouses, you may want to start here. The red and white striped design makes for a whimsical, picturesque setting creating the perfect backdrop for a vacation photo. The best part about visiting this landmark in the area is that you can spend the rest of the day exploring the Harbour Town area. You’ll discover a handful of quaint local stores as well as top-notch restaurants. Head to the area to witness the lighthouse, then grab some lunch at a neighboring establishment.

Haig Point Lighthouse

Although this Hilton head lighthouse is actually located on the nearby Daufuskie Island, it’s well worth the trip. Daufuskie is a beautiful barrier island that can only be accessed by ferry. It’s a short trip from Hilton Head to the Haig Point Lighthouse, and you’ll be able to spend the day exploring the rest of the island. The lighthouse on this island was first built in 1872 and was later restored in 1967. Although it does still operate as a lighthouse, it is one of the most unique event venues in the area. After making the trip out to Daufuskie Island, spend the day learning about the area’s unique history and stop for a bite to each at one of the restaurants.
