Tournament Week in Hilton Head
Now held each April (instead of over Thanksgiving), the RBC Heritage golf classic helps usher in the spring season with a week of festivities across the island. If you’re visiting, here’s how to make the most of your time on and off the links.
What to See
When you’re not on the course, Hilton Head’s impeccable dining scene is guaranteed to hit the spot, or you can head to Coligny Plaza for local shops and souvenirs. Our lighthouses, rich heritage museums, and outdoor spaces are also popular itinerary add-ons.
Plus, when you book directly with Beach Properties, you’ll receive a complimentary ticket to tour the iconic Harbour Town Lighthouse! It’s a wonderful addition to your RBC Heritage vacation, and a great way to spend an evening after watching the tournament. From the top, you’ll see incredible views of Hilton Head, the 18th hole, Calibogue Sound, and Daufuskie Island, so be sure to bring your cameras.

How to Experience the Tournament
The best viewing spots along the course are:
- 10th Fairway – See shots on the 10th as well as shots approaching the 15th, and second shots onto the 16th.
- Between the 17th Green and 18th Tee – The popularity of the final hole means viewing can be tough, but finding a sweet spot between 17 and 18 lets you enjoy the big finale with slightly fewer crowds.
- 9th Tee – Great spot for watching long drives
- 2nd and 6th Greens and 7th Hole – If you want proximity to food, bathrooms, and rest spots while you watch, this is your sweet spot
- 18th Green – Snap the iconic shot of the lighthouse as you watch the final shots
