Below, we’ve highlighted four of the best places to propose on Hilton Head Island. After you choose the perfect proposal spot, consider hiring a Hilton Head Island photographer to capture the moment!  

HHI Beaches 

Hilton Head Island is known for its beautiful beaches. Naturally, the beach is the most popular spot to pop the question on Hilton Head Island! A few of our favorite sandy spots to propose are Forest Beach, Palmetto Dunes, and Sea Pines. No matter which stretch of sand you select, consider timing your proposal around sunset. There’s no more romantic backdrop for a marriage proposal than an Atlantic Ocean sunset. It makes for great photos, too!

Harbour Town Lighthouse 

The Harbour Town Lighthouse is one of Hilton Head Island’s most iconic sights. This impressive, red-and-white-striped lighthouse is the perfect backdrop for your marriage proposal. Once a working lighthouse, the inside of the Harbour Town Lighthouse has been transformed into a museum.  

Here, you can learn about the lighthouse’s creation and history, as well as journey up the 114-step staircase that leads to the top. Once you reach the top, step outside for panoramic ocean views. It’s just perfect for popping the question!
